Warranty conditions for used motors
Warranty period new motors:
The guarantee commences on the day of delivery, with the requirement that the registration card is also in the owner’s name on that date. It extends over the period specified on page one. Repairs that could be eligible for warranty must have been carried out within the aforementioned period. Should any part (or parts) of this outboard motor become defective within this period, such part(s) will be examined and replaced or repaired free of charge if it is found that such defect is to be attributed to a material or construction defect. This warranty is expressly limited to free replacement and/or repair of the defective part(s). Parts handed in under a warranty request for examination remain at the supplier’s disposal. These warranty conditions given by Outboard Occasions are the only applicable ones. It neither authorises nor empowers anyone to make any guarantee promises. In case the motor is used commercially (including at rental companies), a warranty period of 12 months applies without hours restriction.
Warranty conditions:
Proper use, maintenance and storage of your product are necessary for its lifespan. Warranty repairs will only be carried out on condition that you have used the product correctly, maintained it by an authorised specialist, according to the user manual, the product has been checked and repaired according to the maintenance schedule:
- Annual/100-hour maintenance as per manufacturer’s instructions.
- Use of premium fuels (no E10).
- Warranty is only at World of Outboards B.V.
Exclusions:
Repairs are not eligible for warranty if the cause of the defect is due to:
- Failure to maintain the outboard motor in accordance with the instructions specified in the owner’s manual.
- Abuse, overuse or accidents.
- Outboard motor changes.
- Participating in sporting events (races, etc.).
- The use of non-original parts or accessories.
- Normal wear and tear.
- External influences such as dust, dirt, industrial deposits, chemicals, aged fuel, corrosion, etc.
Not covered by warranty:
- Diagnosing, checking, adjusting, cleaning, oil and small equipment.
- Parts to be replaced due to normal wear or deterioration such as spark plugs, filters, starter motor brushes, fuses, cables and all rubber parts (excluding oil seals).
- Looking for resonance of plastic parts and cancelling it.
- Transport costs, replacement vessel and similar costs.
